When you do a lot of traveling your immune system can become weak because you are dealing with various things such as new environments, jet lag, climate changes, the atmosphere of the places you are traveling to, and the different time zones. There are many things that you can do to deal with the health issues that are associated with traveling.

Make sure that you are vaccinated--make sure that you research the area where you are going to be traveling, especially if it is out of the United States, to see if there are any current sicknesses in the area so that you can protect yourself from them. By making sure that you have the right vaccinations you will not get sick and find that you are being quarantined in a foreign country.

Check your health insurance--you need to make sure that your health insurance is in order because if you are going to a foreign country medical cost can be expensive. In addition, many times a local policy will not cover health issues that happen in a foreign country. You need to make sure that you have some type of short-term health insurance policy that cover any medical costs that may occur in a foreign country.

Prescriptions--when you travel to a foreign country make sure that if you a medical condition where you need to have medication on a daily basis that you have a certified letter from your physician with you. Before you take any medication with check with the embassy of the foreign country, you are going to visit which medications, if any, are prohibited from being brought in. Make sure that all your prescriptions are in the original bottles or packages. If you have inhalers, you need carry them with you and pack a small first aid kit.
